New Zealand consumer confidence rises as ANZ-Roy Morgan survey shows a 7-point increase in economic outlook for the next 12 months to -32%. The 5-year-ahead measure also sees a 7-point increase to -1%. Despite a tough retail environment and house price inflation expectations falling from 3.4% to 2.4% year-over-year, optimism is gradually emerging amid expectations of RBNZ cutting the official cash rate and falling consumer price inflation (CPI).
