Loyalist activist Jamie Bryson challenges Ards and North Down Council's decision to disallow year-round Union flag flying at war memorials.

Loyalist activist Jamie Bryson has filed a legal challenge at the High Court over Ards and North Down Council's decision to block flying the union flag at all war memorials 365 days a year. Bryson claims the council acted unlawfully, as elected representatives deployed a 'call-in mechanism' to question the policy. He is seeking a declaration that an earlier decision to fly the flag all year round remains valid.
