3000-head Llanarth feedlot, one of the most northern in Australia, is shifting to longfed Wagyu for premium eating quality markets and diversification. This move also halves workload and reduces biosecurity risks. The Kenny family, who run the feedlot, plan to expand with a first-of-its-kind coolness facility for Wagyu cattle in summer. The feedlot supplies Brahman-cross cattle to southern plants.
