Eve, an electric aircraft maker backed by Embraer, unveiled a full-scale prototype of a "flying taxi" on July 3, marking a significant milestone towards certification and service entry by 2026. Eve's electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft aims to reduce traffic congestion and enable short city trips, with plans to test fly the prototype later this year or early 2025. The initial non-conforming prototype includes electric engines but lacks a cabin and pilot, while the final version will seat four passengers and a pilot.
