5 Chinese migratory bird sanctuaries along the Yellow Sea-Bohai Gulf have been added to UNESCO's World Heritage List. The decision was made during the 46th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee held in New Delhi, India. These sanctuaries form part of the world's largest intertidal wetland system and are a serial extension of the existing Phase I sanctuaries, which were inscribed on the World Heritage List in 2019.
