China and India will strengthen communication within international frameworks, jointly practice multilateralism, and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of developing countries, according to a meeting between foreign ministers of China and India held in Vientiane. China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi suggested that China and India, as two major neighbouring developing countries, should step up dialogue and communication to address global challenges and increase understanding and mutual trust for mutually beneficial cooperation.
