China and Egypt cooperate on digital scanning, photography, sorting, and research of 1,000 humanoid wooden coffins found in Saqqara since 2018. The China-Egypt Joint Investigation, Research, and Digitalization Project on Ancient Egyptian Antiquities started in May. The Shanghai International Studies University's World Arthistory Institute and the Saqqara Archaeological mission are involved in the project.
