Boston Red Sox acquire LHP James Paxton from LA Dodgers in exchange for minor league infielder Moises Bolivar.

The Boston Red Sox have acquired left-handed pitcher James Paxton from the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for minor league infielder Moises Bolivar. Paxton, 35, posted a 4.43 ERA in 18 starts for the Dodgers since signing a one-year, $7 million contract in the offseason. The Red Sox transferred right-hander Bryan Mata to the 60-day injured list to create a spot on the 40-man roster for Paxton.
