Boones Mill Police Department adds Belgian Malinois K9 Officer Rex for drug trafficking combat.

Boones Mill Police Department added K9 Officer Rex, a 22-month-old Belgian Malinois trained in patrol, tracking, and narcotics. Funded by grants, donations and town funds, Rex's training was completed at a National K9 Training Center in Elkins, WV. With Chief Kelvin Pruett's experience, the K9 unit aims to combat drug trafficking in Boones Mill and the surrounding region.
