Afghan caretaker Deputy PM Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar laid the foundation stone for a new modern lounge at Kabul Int'l Airport, costing 290 million afghani and set to be completed in 18 months. The project, backed by the private sector, aims to foster economic growth in Afghanistan. The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation has also built an airport escalator and supports the development efforts.
