Administrative Council approves construction of 4 Government Medical Colleges in Jammu & Kashmir.
The Administrative Council, led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, has approved the construction of four Government Medical Colleges in Kathua, Doda, Anantnag, and Baramulla districts of Jammu & Kashmir. Revised proposals address distance, location-specific designs, and land development, allowing for quick funding and development of infrastructure such as road connectivity, water supply, power, and protection walls. The new GMCs aim to provide tertiary healthcare to residents in peripheral areas of these districts.
