130-acre brush fire, named Macy Fire, erupted near Lake Elsinore, threatening homes close to the Cleveland National Forest. The fire began at 5:42pm near El Cariso Campground and prompted mandatory evacuations. The fire, first reported as a 60-acre vegetation fire, spread rapidly and prompted a large response from fire crews.
