Veteran screenwriter Javed Akhtar revealed in a podcast that his alcoholism made him behave like a "devil" as he would become quite offensive and angry. Akhtar, who collaborated with Salim Khan on iconic scripts and continues to write lyrics, says he wasted a decade of his life trying to battle alcoholism. He last drank on July 31, 1991, and considers quitting alcohol as one of the few good things he has done in his life.
