Venezuela signed a 20-year natural gas exploration & production deal with BP & Trinidad's National Gas Co. The project targets the Manakin-Cocuina gas field, straddling Trinidad & Tobago and Venezuela's maritime border, containing 1 trillion cubic feet of gas. The deal aims to transform Venezuela into a major natural gas exporter, with 25% of production supplied to Trinidad's petrochemical sector and the rest for its LNG export industry.
