Tripura High Court orders state govt to submit report on rising HIV cases in two weeks, following a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) highlighting an alarming increase in HIV cases and deaths among students and youth. The court also seeks reports from the central govt, health ministry, and National AIDS Control Organization. The state currently has around 8,000 known HIV-positive cases, with 5-7 new cases reported daily.
