Toyota West Virginia begins 5th-generation hybrid transaxle production for Camry, Corolla Cross, and future RAV4 models.

Toyota West Virginia has commenced production of its 5th generation hybrid transaxle at its Putnam County plant, part of a $300 million investment aimed at boosting the company's vehicle electrification. The transaxle will be used in the all-new Toyota Camry, Corolla Cross, and future RAV4 models, enhancing fuel efficiency. This makes Toyota West Virginia the only North American Toyota plant producing the hybrid transaxle.
