Tom Daley and Helen Glover will carry the British flag as Team GB's flag bearers at the Olympic opening ceremony in Paris. Diver Daley, who has one gold and three bronzes from five Olympic appearances, and rower Glover, a two-time gold medalist from three appearances, were popular choices for the prestigious roles. Daley is the first diver to be a flag bearer, while Glover follows rowers Sir Steve Redgrave and Sir Matthew Pinsent.
