Subaru's WRX Project Midnight, a customized 670-hp race car, debuted at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, setting a 46.07-second time at the hillclimb. The turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is 1,000 lbs lighter than a standard WRX, and features a dry sump oil system, large turbocharger, and anti-lag system. Project Midnight is unlikely to become a road-going model, but its innovations may influence future WRXs.
