Romanian long jumper Florentina Iusco banned from Paris Olympics due to positive furosemide test, 2-year ban upheld by CAS.
Romanian long jumper Florentina Iusco has been banned from the Paris Olympics after testing positive for the banned diuretic furosemide in April. The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) upheld a doping ban imposed by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and imposed a two-year ban, backdated to February 1, nullifying her results from April 2023. This reduces Romania's team size at the Olympics to 106 representatives.
