Lagos State government has distanced itself from the upcoming Oro festival, scheduled August 1-15, to avoid clashing with the #EndBadGovernance protest. Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, likened the festival to other religious activities across Nigeria, stating that the government respects citizens' right to worship according to the constitution. Akosile urged both protesters and traditional worshippers to respect each other's rights and maintain law and order.
