Passengers on Jet2, Ryanair, Easyjet, and TUI flights are warned against consuming tea or coffee during flights, as well as advised to avoid alcohol, to prevent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and potential life-threatening pulmonary embolism. DVT is the formation of a blood clot, which can occur in the lower or upper limbs, and may cause pain and ruin holidays. Symptoms may include a painful or tender leg for no obvious reason, above or below the knee.
