Ontario Provincial Police officers ratified a 4-year contract with raises up to 4.75%, making them the highest-paid in the province and improving mental health coverage.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers ratified a 4-year contract, making them the highest-paid police officers in the province, with raises of 4.75% in Year 1, 4.5% in Year 2, and 2.75% in Years 3 & 4. By end of deal, a first-class constable will earn $123,194. The contract also improves mental health coverage for officers. The previous wage cap was lifted after Bill 124 repeal.
