Meta Platforms faces its first EU antitrust fine, potentially up to $13.4bn, for tying its classified ads service Marketplace with Facebook. The European Commission accused Meta of giving Facebook Marketplace an unfair advantage by bundling the two services together, and abusing its dominance by imposing unfair trading conditions on competing online classified ads services. The fine decision is expected in September or October.
