Meta CEO Zuckerberg opposes AI tech lockdown against China, advocates for open-source AI instead.
Mark Zuckerberg, CEO and co-founder of Meta Platforms, has stated that locking China down on AI technology is "really wrong." Zuckerberg believes that the US should not attempt to lock down AI models as this would not prevent China's access, given their espionage capabilities, and would disadvantage US allies and smaller entities. Instead, he advocates for open-source AI, which he believes will allow the US to maintain a lead over China, as well as benefiting US allies and smaller entities.
