LG Display narrowed its Q2 loss to 94bn won ($67.8m) from 881bn won a year earlier, helped by increased shipments of panels for client Apple and TV panels ahead of the Olympics. This beat analyst estimates of a 308bn won loss. The South Korean flat-screen maker, however, reported a second consecutive quarterly loss due to weak demand for TV and smartphone panels.
