18 people, including a child, were killed when a Nepalese airliner, operated by Saurya Airlines, crashed and caught fire shortly after taking off from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu on Wednesday. The Bombardier CRJ-200 aircraft was heading to Pokhara International Airport for routine maintenance service. The pilot, who was the only survivor, suffered serious injuries. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
