On July 24, 2024, Memphis police apprehended four carjacking suspects after a pursuit and crash involving a stolen vehicle in the Orange Mound neighborhood. The chase began after a carjacking on Marianna Street and Spottswood Avenue, and ended in a two-vehicle collision at South Parkway East and South Barksdale Street, approximately three miles away. All four suspects and a citizen were sent to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
