Dutch court approves €5.6bn submarine deal with France's Naval Group, rejecting ThyssenKrupp lawsuit.

The Dutch court has endorsed the Dutch government's decision to order four new submarines from France's Naval Group, in a deal worth €5.6 billion. The court rejected a lawsuit filed by German contender ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems. The Ministry of Defense initiated a procurement process to replace and upgrade the Netherlands' current submarine fleet, inviting bids for four new submarines.
