ECOSOC, one of the six main bodies of the UN, focuses on international development, with Rae's leadership focusing on ethical AI usage, global migration, and financing solutions for international development. This term coincides with Canada's G7 presidency next year. Rae is the third Canadian to hold the presidency of a UN charter body.
