Apollo Funds have agreed to acquire UK parcel delivery firm Evri from Advent International in a £2.7bn deal. Evri, formerly known as Hermes, delivers more than 700 million parcels annually and serves over 12 million customers per week. Apollo's acquisition reflects the more complex antitrust implications of a sale to another industrial buyer, beating competition from rivals including JD.com and DHL.
