16-year-old shot defending mom during Deer Park carjacking; suspect arrested after chase and crash in Houston. The teenager is recovering in the hospital after the gunman shot him in the chest during the attempted carjacking in a Spencer Highway parking lot. The suspect was later spotted by police and led them on a chase before crashing in southwest Houston, where he was taken into custody.
