Neighbors and rescue workers in Cedar Falls saved a man from a sinking vehicle that had driven into a private pond early Wednesday. Residents called 911 after noticing the vehicle. Neighbors and Cedar Falls Public Safety officers used a small watercraft from the pond to reach the vehicle and remove the driver, a 58-year-old man, who was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
