37-year-old man dies after serious assault at Stony Mountain Institution; RCMP investigating as a homicide. Manitoba RCMP were called to the federal prison on 22 July at 7:30 pm due to a report of a serious assault. A 37-year-old man was found with severe injuries and transported to hospital, but later died. RCMP Major Crime Services and Forensic Identification Unit are assisting in the investigation.
