16-year-old Declan Cutler was brutally murdered by a group of eight teenagers in Melbourne in March 2022. The four main attackers, aged between 17 and 20, have been sentenced to close to 20 years in prison for their roles in the attack. The Supreme Court of Victoria described the attack as a two-minute display of "incalculable inhumanity." The four convicted teenagers will remain in youth justice detention until they turn 21.
