2034 Winter Olympics awarded to Salt Lake City, Utah, with conditions related to FBI investigation and WADA authority.

Salt Lake City, Utah has been awarded the 2034 Winter Olympics by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) after being granted exclusive negotiating rights last year. The IOC included a clause in the host city contract requiring local officials to work with current and future U.S. presidents and members of Congress to address concerns about the ongoing FBI investigation into suspected doping by Chinese swimmers. The IOC also added a termination clause if the authority of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is undermined.
