flag Study finds higher exposome score linked to unhealthy factors impacts children's cardiometabolic health.

A new study from the University of Eastern Finland reveals that a combined effect of environmental exposures and unhealthy lifestyle habits, known as the exposome score, has a significant impact on children's cardiometabolic health. The research, involving 504 children aged 6-9 years and followed up for eight years, found that a higher exposome score, linked to unhealthier factors, was associated with altered serum levels of 31 metabolites in childhood and adolescence.
