Sparta Prague defeated Shamrock Rovers 2-0 in the first leg of their Champions League match at Tallaght Stadium. Goals from Veljko Birmancevic and Tomas Wiesners led to the away win. The second leg will take place in Prague on July 30th. Shamrock Rovers face an uphill struggle in the second leg to advance in the competition.
