South Korea's consumer sentiment reached a 27-month high in July due to optimism surrounding export growth and expectations of interest rate cuts, according to the Bank of Korea's consumer sentiment index. The index increased to 103.6 in July from 100.9 in June, with the sub-index for consumer spending outlook contributing the most to the rise. Inflation expectations also dropped to 2.9% in July, the lowest since March 2022.
