12 Pretoria High School for Girls students were suspended for alleged racism, after a WhatsApp group containing racist comments was discovered. The Gauteng Department of Education is investigating the claims and scheduling disciplinary hearings for the suspended students. The school reported a planned protest to the Tshwane South District, which was prompted by complaints of racial connotations and alleged preferential treatment of white pupils.
