Nigerian couple convicted for human trafficking; sentenced to 5 years for trafficking a woman to Dubai for prostitution.
Nigeria's NAPTIP agency convicted a couple, Adesuwa Otabor and Otabor Idahosa, in Benin for human trafficking, sentencing them to five years in prison for conspiring to traffic a woman to Dubai for prostitution. The conviction follows Section 27 of the 2015 Trafficking in Persons (Prohibition) Enforcement and Administration Act. This case is part of NAPTIP's ongoing efforts to arrest, prosecute, and convict high-profile human traffickers.
