Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari, accused a TMC MLA, Tapan Chatterjee, of verbally abusing and attempting to assault him on the state legislative premises. Adhikari requested Speaker Biman Banerjee to take action and expressed feelings of insecurity within the Assembly. This is the second alleged incident involving threats from the ruling party.
