The Kerala High Court temporarily halted the release of the Justice K Hema Committee Report on women's working conditions in the film industry due to a Malayalam film producer's petition arguing it could harm the film industry, breach confidentiality, and impact reputations and livelihoods. The report, submitted in 2019, was set for release after the State Information Commission ordered its disclosure with redactions.
