Japanese ferry Seven Islands Ai loses control south of Tokyo due to steering malfunction caused by oil leak; no injuries, being towed to Okata Port.

A Japanese high-speed jet ferry, operated by Tokai Kisen Co., experienced steering malfunction due to an oil leak and lost control south of Tokyo. The vessel, named Seven Islands Ai, was headed to Shikine Island with over 100 passengers and five crew members on board. There were no reported injuries. The ferry is being towed to Okata Port on Izu Oshima island by two coast guard patrol ships.
