Hawaii's Preschool Open Doors program has expanded, now accepting applications year-round and increasing income eligibility limits. The program, which provides monthly tuition subsidies to 3- and 4-year-olds, has doubled the number of applicants compared to last year, with an annual budget of $50 million. The state aims to provide universal access to preschool for all 3- and 4-year-olds by 2032.
