France expands Paris data centre industry to match global hubs; aims to boost digital economy.
France is rapidly expanding its data centre industry to catch up with established hubs like London and Frankfurt, with Paris becoming a significant player in the global data exchange market. The government aims to expand the industry, which is currently worth €1.2bn ($1.3bn), in order to bolster the digital economy. There are already over 70 data centres surrounding Paris, more than a third of the country's total.
