Florida's only historically Black university, Florida A&M, has appointed Timothy Beard as interim president, following the resignation of President Larry Robinson. Beard, who previously served as president of Pasco-Hernando State College, will assume the role as the university faces increased political pressure and scrutiny over underperforming programs. His appointment is subject to approval by the Board of Trustees and confirmation by the Florida Board of Governors.
