Edmonton Oilers appoint Stan Bowman, former Chicago Blackhawks GM, as their new general manager and executive vice president of hockey operations. Bowman, who had spent 20 seasons in Chicago, resigned in 2021 due to an investigation into the team's handling of sexual assault allegations against former video coach Brad Aldrich. The NHL reinstated Bowman in July, making him eligible to sign contracts with teams.
