17 people in Cambodia's northeastern Ratanakiri province have been hospitalized after eating a locally foraged wild mushroom, prompting the Ministry of Health to urge people not to consume unknown mushrooms. The patients, who live in Loum village, experienced symptoms of abdominal pain, diarrhea, and vomiting. The ministry warned that among thousands of mushroom species, about 100 are poisonous.
