96-year-old woman dies after being hit by a car while crossing the road in Inverell, northern NSW. Emergency services were called at 8:15am on Monday, July 22, to Bannockburn Road. Paramedics treated the woman at the scene before transporting her to Inverell Hospital, where she later died. The driver, a 49-year-old man, was not injured but was taken to the hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.
