26-year-old UPSC aspirant Nilesh Rai was electrocuted to death on July 22 near Patel Nagar metro station in central Delhi. Rai stepped into a waterlogged street and touched an electrified iron gate, resulting in his death. The incident took place at around 2:40pm and a first information report has been lodged. Waterlogging on the road is believed to have contributed to the electrocution.
